AMITE, La. &8212; The Adams County Christian School Rebels snapped a two-game losing streak Friday night by going on the road and knocking off Oak Forest, 21-13.

The Rebels forced six Oak Forest turnovers in the win.

Eric Perry got a 25-yard pass from Brian Sanderson to open the game, and a muffed kickoff gave the Rebels the ball right back. Tel Faulkner scored moments later to give ACCS a 14-0 lead after John Carl Johnson notched both extra points.

Matthew Guedon iced the game in the third quarter with a three-yard touchdown run to give ACCS a 21-6 lead. The Rebels then held on for the win.

&8220;We made so many mental mistakes it was pitiful,&8221; said head coach Bobby Marks. &8220;But the kids played real hard. We spoiled their homecoming. It was good to get a win. We needed one. We&8217;ve got a district game coming up next week and this was the best thing that could have happened to us.&8221;

The Rebels rushed 53 times for 385 yards on the day and had 29 first downs.

They will face Riverfield next Friday on the road at 7 p.m.
