MONTEREY — A Jonesville man was arrested Sunday in connection to a number of recent burglaries in the Monterey area.
Kory Crouch, 30, 738 Passman Road, Jonesville, was arrested by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office with assistance by local residents of Monterey and Joey Merill with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigator Phillip Webber said a hunter in a wooded area near Crouch’s home found some of the stolen items and additional stolen items were recovered in his house.
Many items, such as copper wire, assorted tools and hunting items, have been recovered and owners are being identified, said Sheriff Randy Maxwell.
Crouch allegedly began burglarizing camps, sheds and boathouses in December.
Crouch is charged with four counts of burglary and one of theft.
Judge Leo Boothe set his bond at $101,000.
