FERRIDAY — Services for Thelma “Pud” Beard Cannon, 79, of Monterey, who died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Paul Stephens and the Rev. James Gass officiating.
Burial will follow at Lismore Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cannon was born June 29, 1932, the daughter of Charley Beard and Loula Beard.
Pud was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Cannon, and her parents.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Wayne Cannon and wife, Addilene, Charley Cannon and Nicki Powell, all of Monterey, and Mark Cannon and wife, Chassity, of McNair; two daughters, Theresa Cannon of Benton, La., and Deborah Cannon of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, C.D. Beard and Jimmy Beard; five sisters, Mary Gass, Peaches Beard, Ruby King, Milt Bozeman and Sharon Morace; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ethan Cannon, Mark Cannon Jr., Cody Stephenson and Cade Stephenson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Koch, Jimmy Powell, Bill Alexander, Glen King, James Herring, Paul Walker and Robin Phillips.
