NATCHEZ &045; There is not much that Duncan, Lee and Matthew Guedon do not do together.

The three young men are family, friends and integral parts of the ACCS football team.

&8220;They are just a big, big, huge part of the team,&8221; ACCS coach Bobby Marks said. &8220;We wouldn&8217;t have made the playoffs without them. Of course, you could say that about several players on this team, but those three are awfully important to what we do.&8221;

Although they share the same sideline on Friday nights, the Guedons also share holidays, a summer job and plenty of good times off the field.

Duncan is cousin to brothers Matthew and Lee, but when they are together, there is little that distinguishes the bond between all three &045; including a shared sort of sibling rivalry.

&8220;It&8217;s fun to kick their butts and show them up,&8221; Duncan said.

&8220;I like competing to see who gets the most tackles,&8221; Lee said.

That sort of friendly competition is what made all three of the Guedons standouts on the field.

&8220;Matthew is hard-headed because he&8217;s sort of the leader,&8221; Duncan said. &8220;He thinks he&8217;s the boss.&8221;

Part of what makes the Guedons&8217; bond so strong is their shared kinship.

&8220;We were all raised very family-oriented,&8221; Matthew Guedon said. &8220;We are together during the holidays, we are at the hunting camp together and we all work at the same job on the family farm during the summers.&8221;

Since childhood, the Guedons have always done things together. They played on the same AYA championship football team.

With all the time spent together, one might believe they would also share the same personality, but all three are distinctly different.

Matthew is the outspoken one and the oldest. Duncan is quiet and reserved and Lee is a little of both.

The Guedons can all describe each other&8217;s personalities in a way that the other two readily agree with, but hearing coach Marks describe them provides insight into their on-field talents.

&8220;Duncan is a great athlete and just a great kid, he got his knee tore up last year but he got in shape, went down on the first lick this year, but got back in there and is back to full speed now,&8221; Marks said. &8220;Off the field, he&8217;s a real quiet kid, who never say&8217;s anything but &8216;yes sir&8217; or &8216;no sir&8217; and never asks any questions. He just does it.

&8220;Matthew has more heart than any running back I&8217;ve ever had. He personally beat Riverfield. He&8217;s wonderful and just loves to run his mouth. Lee didn&8217;t play until this year, when the other two talked him into it, but he&8217;s played every position and has blossomed into a starter. But I tell you what&8212;all three will hit you.&8221;

After high school, the Guedons said they all plan to attend LSU.

But before college, the Guedons hope to lead the Rebels on the field this Friday night in ACCS&8217; first-round playoff game against Bowling Green (6-4).
