VIDALIA — Services for Lillian Landry Sartor, 84, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia with the Rev. George Pookkattu officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitiation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Sartor was born on July 26, 1927, in Arnaudville, La., the daughter of Euclide Landry and Eucharist Frederick Landry. She retired as chief deputy assessor for Concordia Parish. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes rosary group.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Ray Sartor; five sisters, Lenora Landry, Doris Landry, Deulah Landry, Eula Landry and Bernice Mumphrey; one brother, Austin Landry; and one son-in-law, Kenneth McCalip.
Survivors include two daughters, Veronica S. Doughty and Gwendolyn S. McCalip, both of Natchez; three grandsons, Tod Andrew Doughty and wife Landra Pierce Doughty of Houston, Conn Kenneth McCalip and wife Shannan Rushing McCalip of Natchez and Chase McNeil McCalip and wife Amy Daste McCalip of Baton Rouge; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Andrew Doughty and Alexandra Quinn Doughty, both of Tyler, Texas, Megan Elizabeth McCalip and Catherine Pate McCalip, both of Natchez, Ella Marie McCalip, Macy Claire McCalip and Daniel Chase McCalip, all of Baton Rouge; one sister, Hilda Meche of Arnaudville, La.
Pallbearers will be Tod Doughty, Chase McCalip, Jerry Clark, Stephen Crain, Jerry Wayne David and Butch David.
Honorary pallbearers will be Conn McCalip, Jerry David, Tab Dore and Wayne Crain.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
