The boys are believed to be three of five teenagers that reportedly robbed a man between 9 and 10 p.m. on North Union Street near Carpenter School Apartments Friday.

The boys also reportedly admitted to a robbery of the front desk clerk at the Grand Soleil Hotel at gunpoint at approximately 2:20 Saturday morning.

Ford said police received a tip from the grandmother of one of the suspects that she had heard her grandson had been part of the robberies.
