NATCHEZ &8212; Services for Mr. Joseph &8220;Joe&8221; McQueen, 90, of Natchez, who died Tuesday Nov. 28, 2006, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. Monday at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the National Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. McQueen was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Adams County, the son of the late Revs. Joseph and Phobie McQueen.

He was educated in the Union Street Public Schools and furthered his studies in St. Louis. He was self employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; four sisters and a daughter.

Survivors include two sisters, Josephine Jackson Gamble and the Rev. Katy Hill both of Natchez; daughter, Tina Collier of Clinton; grandson, Taylor Collier of Clinton; son, Kenneth Collier of Starkville; a close friend, Leroy Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mary Amelia Duncan

Jan. 19, 1945 &8212; Nov. 30, 2006

MONTEREY&8212; Services for Mrs. Mary Amelia Duncan, 61, of Monterey, who died Thurs. Nov. 30, 2006, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be held 11 a.m. today at Monterey First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Lee and the Rev. Clyde Grammon officiating.

Burial will follow at White Cemetery under the direction of Young&8217;s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Mary Amelia was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Ferriday. She was a resident of Monterey, a longtime nurse for Riverland Medical Center and also owner/operator of Duncan&8217;s Flower Shop and a member of the Monterey First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Yank and Maurice Willson.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Duncan of Monterey; two sons, Will Duncan and wife, Paula, and Yankie Duncan and wife, Sheila, all of Monterey; grandchildren, Yankie Lee, Jody, Riley and Nathalie Duncan; brother, Morris Willson and wife, Gloria, of Monterey; mother-in-law, Natalee Duncan of Monterey; aunts, LaVerne Moore and Ginger McNeely of Ferriday; uncle, Bobby Ray McNeely of Natchez; nephews, Robin Willson and Jody Greene of Monterey.

Pallbearers will be Robin Willson, Jody Greene, Albert Crouch, Jeff Goeggle, Hayden Wilson, Mark Moore, Ryan Thompson, Jesse Poole, Kyle Wilson and Kevin Burley.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Herman Gibson, Jackie Crouch, Seth Moore, Price Gallup, Lynn Jones, Graham McNeely, Riley Calhoun, Billy Green and Ann Swilley.

Charles &8220;Wayne&8221; Goodwin

JONESVILLE &8212; Services for Mr. Charles Wayne Goodwin, 46, of Centerville, La., who died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin, will be held 1 p.m. today at Young&8217;s Funeral Home in Jonesville with the Rev. Gary Eubanks officiating.

Burial will be in the Boothe Cemetery under the direction of Young&8217;s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
