Kindness from stranger appreciated

Earlier last week on the 28th, my boyfriend and I had a really tiring day. My 1-month-old daughter was sick. We were running on very little sleep. We were practically sleepwalking.

We had been in town since 9 a.m. and it was now around 6 p.m.

We went to eat at Trace Town Burger King and learned there are still kind and generous people left in the world.

My daughter was in her carrier on the table. My boyfriend and I had just sat down to eat when a lady came over to the table. She said that she had been watching us and that we looked like a nice young couple with a beautiful newborn baby and seeing the baby reminded her of her son when he was that little.

She said that her husband had recently passed away and that he was a very generous man. She then slipped some money on the table stating that is was for the baby.

We tried to give the money back but she refused, saying her husband would’ve done that same thing and he would’ve wanted her to do this as well.

We were a little stunned by what was going on so we didn’t get her name. She was pulled away by her son as well. After she left, we pulled the money from under the tray only to realize she had given my daughter a hundred dollar bill.

We didn’t get to properly thank her and we can’t get in contact with her since we don’t know her name.

However, we hoped that writing something in the paper might let everyone know there are still people out there who care.

Few people in the world have enough kindness in their heart to walk up to complete strangers and do what this woman has done. Those who have kindness need to be appreciated.
