Natchez needs to get over pecan factory
Published 4:08 pm Friday, March 2, 2007
Alright, already! Enough is enough! Natchez needs to get its act together. All we are hearing about is the pecan factory.
Some people don’t want it torn down. Some want it torn down. Others could not care less.
Face it Natchez, the site was and is an eye sore. It’s been that way for years.
Now all of a sudden, some people think it’s the most wondrous location since the Garden of Eden.
True your mayor has overstepped his bounds (again); so let the Attorney General and the proper authorities handle it.
As far as being a safety hazard (now I’m not an engineer or an intelligent elected official) but, why can’t a cover be constructed to cover “the hole”?
While every one has been bickering over the pecan factory, Tupelo has gotten a Toyota Plant.
Seems they have their priorities straight, while Natchez is still trying to make “its History its Future.”
I think everyone should re-read the article in the paper regarding the reason Toyota located in Tupelo and strive to emulate that city to attract national and international industry instead of national and international attention.
