Two Trinity Episcopal soccer stars will represent the Miss-Lou Saturday in the MPSA All-Star soccer game.

Seniors Kolby Godfrey and Blaine Misita will join the stars at Millsaps College at noon.

Both said they were expecting to be named to the team.

“We’ve both lettered for six years now,” Godfrey said. “It wasn’t a given (that we’d make it), but we thought we would. We made it over other people on our team we thought could’ve made it, too.”

“We’ve played for a long time,” Misita said. “More than just high school. We had to work for it, but we pretty much knew we’d be able to get it.”

Misita said he hopes to catch the eye of college scouts during the weekend.

“I’m going up there to have some fun and hopefully have some colleges look at me,” he said.

Godfrey, who admits baseball is his favorite sport, said he would like to learn a bit more about the game of soccer while at Millsaps.

“I just want to have fun and play around with other people I played against during the season,” he said. “Especially the people in (Class) AAA. I know they’re good. I want to see how they practice and how they prepare.”
