NATCHEZ — Services for Sarah Lee White “Doll Baby” Hayes, 90, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Watkins Street Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Hayes was born May 29, 1921, in Natchez, the daughter of Arthur J. and Sarah Proby White. She served on the Mother Board at St. Peter Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Hayes; one son, Leonard L. Frazier; one stepson, Willie B. Hayes Jr.; four sisters, Florence W. Green-Shields, Mary W. Jackson, Lucille W. Stewart and Alma White; and four brothers, James, Clarence, Claude and Howard White.
Survivors include three loving daughters, Gloria F. Edgerson and husband, Ronald, of Baton Rouge, Barbara F. Dorsey and husband, Dennis, of Seattle, Wash., and Zelda H. Smith and husband, L.T., of Natchez; one devoted son, Joseph E. Frazier of Natchez; one stepdaughter, Gloria H. Seals and husband, Arthur, of Natchez; one daughter-in-law, Caroline Frazier of D’Iberville; one brother, Arthur J. White Jr. of Natchez; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
