NATCHEZ — Services for Preston Cooper Parish, 24, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Dr. Doug Broome officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Preston was born June 25, 1987, in Natchez, the son of Mark Parish and Beth Brown Mallett. He was a 2005 graduate of Trinity Episcopal School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Alabama in 2011. He was employed by Wells Fargo Bank in Homewood, Ala. He attended church at First Baptist Church in Natchez.

Preston was stamped with God’s nature. He was a caring, generous, loving soul. He always noticed the unnoticed. No one was unnoticed in his presence. He had a huge heart and used it to love, care for, and encourage everyone around him. He loved sports, movies, animals, painting, Popeye’s chicken, hugs, the beach, sleeping, shopping, big breakfasts, fishing, hunting, snowboarding, music, video games, beautiful things, candy, Alabama football, laughing, learning, traveling, his friends, family and his God. He dreamed large and lived large. Preston’s brown eyes and contagious smile lit up a room. He was a precious son, a beloved brother and a faithful friend. He will be missed more than words could describe.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Parish and his stepfather, Barr Brown.

Survivors include his parents; his stepfather, Keith Mallett, all of Natchez; his grandparents, Barbara Parish of Chicago and Charles and Sue Cooper of Rockville, Ind.; one brother, Jack Daylon Brown of Natchez; one sister, Julia Parish of Brooklyn; two stepbrothers, Cole Brown of Natchez and Chase Brown of Madison; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chase Brown, Cole Brown, Stevan Ridley, Cory Fox, James Warren and Bobby Lammert.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Rockhill, Ashish Patel, Wes Daniel, Chad Ridley, Langdon Morrison, the classmates from Trinity Episcopal, the class of 2005, the Trinity Football team of 2005 and the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity brothers of the University of Alabama.
