FERRIDAY — A celebration of life service for Elizabeth “Sister” Powell Patt, of Jonesboro, Ga., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Freddie Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at Guildfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake St. John.

Arrangements are under the directions of Willie A. Watkins Historic West End Chapel in Atlanta and Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Survivors include one niece, who was like her daughter, Gloria M. Powell of Jonesboro; one grandson, Dion Howard Sr. and his wife; five great-grandchildren, all of Houma, La.; one brother, Joe Powell and wife, Otis, of San Antonio, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
