Preston Edwards allowed just two runs on two hits and struck out nine batters as the Green Wave 10-run ruled the Bobcats in five innings Thursday night at Chester Willis Field to stay undefeated and in first place in Region 7-1A.

One of the two hits Edwards gave up was a double by Seth Avants. He also walked three batters.

Bogue Chitto scored one run in the top of the first inning, but its lead quickly went away when Cathedral (14-4, 6-0) scored seven runs in the bottom of the first. The Green Wave then put the game away by scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning.
