With spring break going on, Vidalia head coach Johnny Lee Hoffpauir said he is giving his club the week off.
“Sometimes you need a break. We played a heck f a month of March, and sometimes a break refreshes you,” he said.
Hoffpauir said the Vikings will practice on Tuesday and Thursday, but will not play any games during the week.
“I think the break hits at a bad time, but I don’t think it will hurt us,” he said. When we come back, we play Mangum, the number four team in Class A, Bethany Christian, the number one team in Class B, and Caldwell, the number three team in Class 3A.”
He said despite taking a few days off, the Vikings will maintain their intensity, and added that when the time comes, his team will be ready to play.
Heading into the break the Vikings are 17-9 overall and are a perfect 3-0 in district.
