Amite School Center avenged its first loss of the season with a win over ACCS, but the outcome of this game was determined until the top of the sixth inning when the visiting Lady Rebels scored four runs.
The host Lady Rebels jumped out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to one run in the bottom of the first inning and one in the bottom of the second. But after being held scoreless in the first three innings, the visiting Lady Rebels finally got on the board with four runs in the top of the fourth.
However, ACCS (5-5) tied the game at 4-4 with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Unfortunately, the host Lady Rebels couldn’t manufacture any runs in the final two innings while Amite School Center pulled away for the win.
Candy Swims also redeemed herself after suffering her first loss of the season to ACCS by allowing four runs on 11 hits. Swims helped her cause by going 4-for-4 while C. Carnegie had a double and Nunnery went 2-for-3.
Sara Beth Fuller had a triple and Alex Foster had a double for ACCS, which lost its second straight game.
