While I would love to be able to take credit for the wonderful Top of the Morning published on Wednesday, I simply cannot. These were the words of my creative, talented, tireless partner and friend, Hedy Boelte. Hedy wrote the article intending it to be an acknowledgement from the two of us, and the Natchez Council for Arts and Culture.

Hedy felt strongly that it was important to recognize and honor members of our community who gave so generously of their time and talents to help with the Margaret Martin improvements. In that same spirit, our community needs to know these were her words that honor your efforts and hard work. I resoundingly second them, and am grateful to her for writing the article.

In fact, “we’re all smiling at a job well done” Hedy, by your well-written Top of the Morning, by your words of praise and recognition, and by your passion and commitment to this city I’ve been proud to call my home my whole life. Thanks for making me look so good!
