A trailer fire burned a man’s home Thursday evening, Natchez Fire Department Battalion Chief Oliver Stewart said Friday.
A call came in at roughly 5:20 p.m. Thursday that a trailer on Old Highway 84, No. 1, was on fire, Stewart said.
Once they arrived, it took firefighters three to five minutes to get the flames under control, Stewart said.
“The fire heavily damaged the roof, the roof collapsed, and the kitchen wall and bedroom were damaged,” Stewart said. “It caused probably $10,000 worth of damage.”
Stewart said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
The homeowner was uninjured, he said.
