NATCHEZ — Podiatrist Gerard Guerin has joined the Jefferson Comprehensive Health Center in Fayette.

Guerin resides in Hammond, La.

He brings more than 30 years of professional medical training to the health center. His training includes a bachelor of science from Stony Brook University, doctor of podiatry medical degree from Ohio College of Podiatry.

Guerin’s professional memberships include, 1982 — Louisiana Podiatry Association, 1982 — American Podiatry Association, 1985 — American Podiatry Association, 1986 — Podiatric Sports Medicine Association, 2001 — American Professional Wound Care Association, and currently the Mississippi Podiatry Association. Guerin also specializes in lower leg wound care, limb salvage and diabetic care.

Guerin will be on staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday to provide podiatry services.

JCHC is a federally subsidized clinic with a mission to provide comprehensive and holistic medical and dental services to meet the needs primarily, but not exclusively, of the socioeconomically disadvantaged residents of Jefferson County and surrounding areas.
