NATCHEZ — No one for Adams County Christian School scored in double digits as the Rebels were on the wrong end of a blowout Wednesday night against Bowling Green in the Amite School Center tournament.
The most points ACCS scored in any one quarter were six, as Bowling Green cruised to a 64-21 win. Rebels head coach Rick Fife said the full-court press gave his team a lot of trouble.
“Being a young team, we have to work on handling the press,” Fife said. “Our shots weren’t falling tonight. We had opportunities early and didn’t take advantage of them.”
Ryan Strong led ACCS in scoring with three points. Christopher Guedon and Ben Moffett both had four points. The Rebels trailed 31-11 at the half.
Fife said his players also needed to improve on shot selection.
“They were playing good defense, but we took some bad shots at times, which led to some running opportunities for them,” Fife said.
ACCS (0-3) will host Oak Forest Monday.
