Pace, an outdoor freelance photographer, is a native Mississippian and has resided in Madison County for the past 24 years. She is the author of two unique Mississippi hardbound vivid color coffee table books, “Victorian Houses of Mississippi” published in September 2005 and her latest release “Historic Churches of Mississippi” published by the University Press of Mississippi. Pace traveled the whole state with both books to cover a wide geographical area with her many photographs. Included in her collection are houses and churches from the Mississippi Gulf Coast regions that are now gone or damaged by Hurricane Katrina but well preserved in her books.

Sherry graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg in elementary education and taught school for about nine years. Her husband, John, is the one who discovered her talent through viewing their vacation photographs and encouraged her to pursue it. She has no formal photography training and is totally self taught. After many years of reading and studying, she has learned to do all her own editing and printing of her photos and has enjoyed making her computer her darkroom. She is very thankful that God has given her this gift and a natural eye for photography.

Pace has devoted much time to her Web site containing her whole photography collection at www.sherrypacephotography.com.

“Victorian Houses of Mississippi” contains 142 houses as well as detail photos of the houses. The book contains a total of 183 pages. There are 10 Natchez houses in her first book.

“Historic Churches of Mississippi” contains a total of 133 churches and includes many detail photos of the churches. It has a total of 178 pages.

Pace will be traveling the state doing digital slide show presentations of her church photographs from her new book as well as book signings.

for both of her books. On her website under the news and events tab, it lists all her planned events so far this year. More will be added as they occur.

She will be in Natchez at Turning Pages on June 29 from 4-6 PM for a book signing of Victorian Houses of Mississippi and Historic Churches of Mississippi.
