NATCHEZ — Jessica J. Green, a student at Natchez High School, was awarded the prestigious Horatio Alger Association’s Mississippi State Scholarship.

She is one of 23 recipients in Mississippi who demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity and hardships in their life, while also demonstrating strength of character, strong academics, commitment to pursue a college education and desire to contribute to society.
