Ferriday ticket writing saves lives

It is curious that the ones speaking the loudest about Ferriday being a “speed trap” are the ones who have been caught speeding.
I have lived in Ferriday for seven years and the traffic volume is enormous. We are also a town with many pedestrians who cross the highway at their peril. Adjusting the speed limit or easing up on violators will invite a tragedy.
I invite anyone who disagrees with Chief Richard Madison and his enforcement of the law to come to Ferriday and count the 18-wheelers coming through a town with a sidewalk practically adjacent to the highway, they will see what the residents are up against.
Come to Ferriday, visit the lovely lakes, meet the friendly people here and above all, drive safely!
