NATCHEZ — Golfers of all levels break out your clubs. Duncan Park is hosting its annual “Bill McKenny Memorial” Men’s City Golf Championship July 28-29.
“We are hoping to have more entries this year,” club proMarvin Gray said. “Last year we had 72 but we hope to have a full field of 96 this year.”
The tournament is structured for all levels of play. Players are divided into flights depending on your score. So if you shoot 67 or 127, there is a flight for you.
“This is our biggest tournament of the year,” Gray said.
The entry fee of $125 includes green and cart fees, range balls, food and beverages and goes to the prize pool.
Fifty percent of the field will get paid.
“There will be prizes for closest to the hole, longest drive and a drawing held on Sunday,” Gray said. “Last year we were able to pay out the top four places in each flight.”
Tee times start 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Tournament entry blanks are available at the Duncan Park Pro Shop or by contacting golf pro Marvin Gray by email at marvindgraymp@pga.com.
Duncan Park will host the Natchez Junior Golf Championship on Aug. 1-2.
The Natchez Ladies/Senior Men’s Championship will be on Aug. 11-12.
