VIDALIA — All Airport Road area citizens are invited to attend a neighborhood watch meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The meeting will be at the Central Fire Station on Airport Road, and dinner will be served.

“We’re hoping to see residents from throughout the entire Airport Road region at this upcoming meeting,” Concordia Parish Sheriff Randy Maxwell said.

Anyone who missed a neighborhood watch in his or her immediate vicinity is also invited to attend the Tuesday meeting, he said.

Maxwell said drug issues will be discussed, as well as residential safety and ways to avoid identity theft and telemarketing scams.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputy George Loomis serves at the neighborhood watch coordinator.
