NATCHEZ — Local convenience store Christine and Henry’s Conoco was reportedly robbed by a man weilding scissors early Saturday morning.
The robber entered the store, located on U.S. 61 north, at approximately 5:35 a.m., Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
The robber then reportedly grabbed the clerk on duty from behind and demanded she give him money, Christine and Henry’s management said.
The clerk reportedly said she saw the man’s scissors as he was leaving, management said.
The robber was reportedly given a small amount of cash, and jumped into either a two-tone GMC or Chevrolet, extended cab truck, Mullins said.
Christine and Henry’s management would not confirm how much money was taken.
The robber was described as a stocky, dark-skinned black male wearing a white shirt and gray pants, Mullins said.
The Natchez Police are investigating the incident, and anyone with information should call crime stoppers at 601-442-5000.
