Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior from Pastor, officers and members of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Get ready Natchez and all areas in between to follow the lights, cameras and action, to Pilgrim Baptist Church 117 Wilson Road, this Sunday, , showtime starting at 6 p.m. where special effects, human videos and so much more will be witnessed. Pilgrim Baptist church drama share ministry will present their seasons finale and Encore Performance with part II of the musical drama, “If Lovin’ Him Is Wrong — I Don’t Wanna Be Right.” We render all praises unto God for entrusting us with his word and the gifts that he has placed within us to incorporate that with stage play acting to reach the heart of those whom are lost. Our philosophy is to, “show what, some, refuse to hear or read for themselves.” We believe that some may receive the word better through acting it out as opposed to being told the word. The director, Vickie Green, said, “It has been an honorable blessing to see the gifts that God has placed within our church’s drama ministry, so many awesome cast with multi-talents, God has truly place everyone in their rightful places and gifts, and how amazing it is to see every part of this production come into fruition, with what I believe to be the perfect cast. We are designated as overseers of the great gifts that the Lord has submitted to us, so we in turn worship him by rendering our gifts back unto him, all to the glory of him. This particular play depicts real life issues that we, as women and men endure on a day-to-day basis, especially in personal relationships with the opposite sex and “back-stabbing” bestfriends.”

This Sunday, all suspense shall be laid to rest as this drama reveals the fate of “Char,” and “Reggie’s” relationship. “Char,” a Christian believer who was in search of what she believes is her, “Mr. Right,” “Reggie,” a non believer with many hidden agendas and a closet full of skeletons but who has all the attributes of the “perfect man,” but in all reality, we know that there is only 1, Perfect, and it’s not “Reggie.” Last season, part I, left many audience viewers’ minds hanging in the balance pondering, what will happen between the couple. Will “Char” keep her engaged “Reggie” and pray for the better, that God will change his conniving errors, or will “Char” call it quits and count it a blessing to learn of his ways before she says, “I do.” You will all be surprised, what you will witness Sunday, many will leave saying, “Wow, I didn’t see that coming at all!” “Reggie,” played by Edward Brinkley, demands more of Char’s time and suggest that a choice is warranted, “Me or the church!” But before contemplating her decision, she endures many trials, calamities and struggles. Also featuring in this drama is Terri Carter as Wisdom Warrior “Mama Lou,” Edward Brinkley as “Reggie,” Kim Washington as “Brooke,” Toni as “Candi,” Neshion Oliver as “Waitress Baby Doll,” Peggy Scales as “Waitress Una,” Edwin Green Sr. as “Satan,” and so many more…as always, the drama will feature a special human video finale with an appearance by the “Art Of Drams-Mimes.” And we can’t ever forget our dynamic Drama band, consisting of Freddie “Q” from Jackson, Kejuan Frye, Ephraim Calhoun from Natchez and Diartis Hudson from Los Angeles.
