LAKE ARTHUR, La. — Graveside services for James Dudley Benoit, 67, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at noon today at Shell Beach Cemetery in Lake Arthur, La., with the Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Benoit was born Sept. 22, 1944, in Gueydan, La., the son of Hillaire Benoit and Auzetile Suire Benoit. He was Catholic.
Mr. Benoit was a retired oil pipeline field worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn and Mary.
Survivors include two sisters, Iona and Myrna Jo; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew.
Pallbearers will be Christian George Sexton, Lance Cpl. William Jabob Butler, Wilmer H. “Dub” Rogers III, Joseph D. Rogers, Bobby Abshire and Darius Abshire.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Broussard, Henry Trahan, Leroy Benoit, the Rev. David O’Connor, George H. Sexton III and Robert S. Butler.
