NATCHEZ — Duncan Park hosted an adult-junior golf nine-hole scramble Friday afternoon.
The scramble consisted of four father and son teams and one father and daughter duo, Chris and Mary Evans Kelley.
“We have a lot of fun,” Chris said. “I love these father and kid tournaments and (Mary Evans) loves to play”
Along with the Kelley duo, Sim and Cole Mosby, Joey and Ben Moffett, Gary and Trevor Farmer and Mark and Alex Miller participated in the tournament.
“Some of the pairs couldn’t make it out today,” Duncan Park Golf Pro Marvin Gray said.
Prizes were awarded for low gross, low net and most fun.
The Farmer team took the low gross award shooting a 34, the Kelleys shot a 35 for low net and Mark and Alex Miller had the “most fun” shooting a 37.
“This is great for us,” Mark said. “I don’t really play but (Alex) really carries me along in these things.”
Duncan Park will host a full 18-hole adult-junior scramble on Aug. 25. It will be a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m.

“Everyone should come out on August 25,” Gray said. “Golf is a great way for fathers and children to bond.”
