We, the Sanders family, would like to thank everyone who donated to the Charles Sanders’ blood drive at Westminster Presbyterian Church Aug. 17-18.

To those who were not able to donate, we received credit for your efforts, which resulted in a total of 87 donors. This was a tremendous success not only for Charles, but also for Ochsner’s Blood Bank in New Orleans.

As a result of Katrina, Ochsner’s lost many of their blood donors and blood replacement was extremely important. Thanks to your generosity, our goal was achieved.

We thank Westminster for allowing the use of their facility, Ochsner’s for the courteous and professional team that administered the blood drive, and to those who donated their time and effort for this very important event.
