Alicea Louise Zickert

MOSCOW, Idaho — Alicea Louise Zickert, 45, of Moscow, Idaho, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at her residence.

Burial will be in Greenwood, Wis., in the spring of 2012, where she will be buried beside her paternal grandmother, Rosella Mable Cronin Zickert and grandfather, Martin C.E. Zickert.

Arrangements are under the direction of Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow.

At the age of 15, Ms. Zickert was in a very serious motorcycle accident in Germany. Since her accident, her health had become progressively worse.

Alicea graduated from Bitburg AFB High School in Germany in 1984. She attended the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany, Okaloosa-Walton Community College, Fla., University of Colorado in Denver and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Her life was filled with art, cooking and five fuzzy felines.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert C. and Lucy Flake Blackwell of Leland.

Alicea leaves behind her mother, Louise Blackwell Hall and stepfather, retired Col. Arthur W. Hall III (Bud); her father, retired Col. Martin J. Zickert and wife, Penny; two brothers, Michael M. Zickert and wife, Renee, and Maj. Sean Patrick Zickert, USMC, and wife, Meredith; one stepsister, Julie Hall Hyzy and husband, John; and stepbrother, 1st Sgt. Ian M. Hall, USAF, and wife, Cari; two uncles, Robert Charles Blackwell and Harry Gorst; and five nieces.
