NATCHEZ — Jared King scored three touchdowns and Jon Taylor Davis scored two touchdowns as the Raiders defeated the Rebels at Bobby Marks Stadium Friday night in an MPSA District 3-AA game.
Riverfield (4-2, 2-1) scored a pair of touchdowns in both the first and second quarters to take a 24-0 halftime. ACCS (0-6, 0-3) had its chances to put points on the board only to come up empty.
“We stopped them on the opening drive. We had a chance, but we threw an interception at the goal line. We had a long pass, but couldn’t take advantage of it,” ACCS head coach Paul Hayles said.
Lee Guedon led the Rebels’ running game with 79 yards on 14 carries and Ryan Comer had 57 yards on just four carries. Dillon Johnson had one catch for 47 yards and Luke Brumfield had a pair of catches for 37 yards.
“Colin Dollar threw two interceptions, but he showed sings of improvement,” Hayles said. “He forced a couple of throws, which you can’t do against a good secondary. Lee had a good game on offense and defense.”
