Foster wins KBC

The Kingfishermen Club of Natchez held its final event of their fishing year Sept. 22 on rivers near Jonesville, during a breezy cloudy day.
The 11 anglers weighed 24 bass with only one limit and a zip. Robert Foster had the only five-bass limit for 5.95 pounds; Jimmy Sheppard was second with three for 5.32 and
Francis Ransom third, three for 5.01. Others weighing fish were Anthony Hauer (three for 4.39); L.L.Chatman (two for 4.07 plus lunker of 3.25; Dewitt Wyatt (three for 3.45); James Payne (three for 3.45); Robert Myles (1.95); Addis Marshall (1.43); James Brown (1.12). Also fishing was Issac Jones.
Bruce takes DBC
The Dixie Bass Club of Natchez held its initial fishing year event Sept. 22 on a very dingy Larto Lake south of Jonesville.
The 15 anglers weighed 51 bass with eight limits and two zips. John Team Go-Mart Bruce of Vidalia won with a solid five-bass limit of 11.77 pounds.
Ken Mahoney fooled a limit at 11.55 for second with 4.84 lunker and third was Alan Brumfield with five for 10.50.
Others with fish were Buster Martinez (five for 9.52); Thomas Long (five for 8.61); Johnny Davis (five for 8.56); Paul Foster (five for 6.79); Robbie Buckes (five for 5.45); Henry Butler (four for 4.22); Greg Green (two for 3.72); Doug Schexnayder (3.17); Allen Blanton (two for 2.42) and Randy Pitre (two for 2.14). Also fishing were Art Eidt and Ronny Douglas.
Houghton wins CBC
The Concordia Bass Club of Vidalia held its ninth event of their year on a near muddy Larto Lake south of Jonesville.
The 22 anglers weighed 71 bass with with 11 limits and four zips.
Dix Houghton of Vidalia jigged up a fine 14.30 pound limit plus a hefty 5.05 hawg to easily win.
John Team Go-Mart Bruce limited at 11.61 for second; third was Ken Mahoney with a 11.27 limit and Mark Morace was fourth with a 10.34 limit.
Others with fish were Chad Pugh (five for 10.22, 3.82 quality bite), Clyde Morace (five for 10.21); Jimmy Hodges (five for 8.56); Jr. Book (four for 8.51); Trae Ladner (five for 7.28); Alonzo Walker (five for 5.88); Tim Houghton (five for 5.55); Ricky Team Nikki’s Restaurant Gillespie (two for 3.86); James Mullins (two for 3.81); Doug Schexnayder (3.04) and Randy Pitre (2 for 2.02). Also fishing were Corky Ables, Chris Houghton, Larry Roak and Theodore Walker.
