NATCHEZ — The Oak Grove Warriors improved to 2-0 in Region 3-5A with a 34-21 win over the Natchez High Bulldogs Friday night at Tom F. Williams Memorial Stadium.
“Defensively, we played good. We gave up a few big plays. We played fairly well, but we didn’t play good enough to win,” Natchez High head coach Lance Reed said.
The loss dropped Natchez High to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in region play. No other information on the game was available. Oak Grove improved to 4-1 overall.
The Bulldogs hurt their chances of winning the game by throwing five interceptions and fumbling the ball away once.
“You can’t win with six turnovers,” Reed said. “We sputtered a little bit on offense tonight. We weren’t able to move the ball like we should have. We scored two defensive touchdowns and one offensive touchdown.”
