Ferriday High School and Ferriday Junior High were evacuated at approximately 7:55 a.m. after a bomb threat against both schools was called in to the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
First responders included the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Ferriday Police Department and Concordia Fire District No. 2.
After receiving an all clear, students were allowed to reenter the high school at approximately 9:20 a.m., and students at the junior high were allowed to return at approximately 9:10 a.m.
Though many parents came and collected their students, classes at the schools were not cancelled, Superintendent Laster said.
