Pumpkin patch opens today

The Jefferson Street United Methodist Church Preschool Pumpkin Patch will be open from Monday to Wednesday, Oct. 31. The pumpkin patch will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Sundays. The corner parking lot of Jefferson Street UMC at Jefferson and Commerce streets will be filled with 1,000 items such as pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, hay and colorful backdrops.
The preschool invites you to stop by the beautiful fall patch to pick out that perfect pumpkin or fall item. There will be pumpkins in all shapes and sizes for all your needs! Prices start as low as $.50 and are priced according to the size of the pumpkin that you pick. All proceeds will go towards the Jefferson Street Preschool.
Also it’s time for Halloween photographs. Do you take pictures of your child or grandchild every year in front of the same old living room sofa or a pull down photographer’s backdrop? This year make your pictures come alive! Bring your children (in costume) and your camera. We’ll help you find the perfect spot in the patch for a one-of a-kind photo with a backdrop of real pumpkins and fall fun.
Your entire family can also have the experience of picking the right pumpkin from our huge selection. What a wonderful adventure to see a real pumpkin patch! We are excited about this unusual event and I know you will be, too. Meet me at the pumpkin patch, I will be there along with all the other volunteers to help you pick out that special pumpkin.
