NATCHEZ — A 15-year-old Natchez teen was arrested Wednesday morning on charges of three counts of burglary of a vehicle.
The teenager is charged with stealing a CD player and purse from two different cars in the same parking lot on Jefferson Davis Boulevard Oct. 11, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
He is also charged with the burglary of a radio faceplate from the same parking lot Monday.
The youth has been released to his parents pending a court date in youth court.
At least one of the cars burglarized had the window open enough for an arm to fit through, and the purse was in sight. Mullins said.
Drivers should keep their cars locked, keep valuables out of sight and keep their windows rolled up when the cars are vacant, he said.
