VIDALIA — Thirteen Concordia Parish citizens will be picked as jurors Monday for the trial of two men accused of murdering 25-year-old Reginald Green in 2010 in Ferriday.

Bryant Lakeith Bethley, 126 Lee Tyler Road, and Daniel Durans Butler, 359 Doty Road, will stand trial Monday for second-degree murder charges stemming from their involvement in the fatal shooting.

Bethley is believed to be the gunman in the incident, and Daniel Butler and Reginald Butler — who are brothers — were allegedly in the vehicle in which Bethley fled the scene, according to Ferriday Police investigators.

Reginald Butler’s case was separated from his brother’s and Bethley’s case because Reginald was the alleged driver of the vehicle that fled the scene after the incident and was not involved in the shooting.

Reginald Butler, who was originally charged with second-degree murder, pleaded guilty May 31 to a lesser charge of accessory after the fact to second degree murder. He has not yet been sentenced.

Andreas Marquez Cauley, the fourth suspect in the case, was also indicted on charges of obstruction of justice.

Cauley allegedly threw the gun used in the killing into Black Bayou, but agents with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries later recovered it.

A status hearing recently set for Cauley’s case has been continued.

All four men were arrested in connection to the shooting on the 800 block of Alabama Avenue.
