I think you hooked it a little. Watch out for that hazard. I guess you’ll use that mulligan now.
This sounds like normal idle chatting among golfers and on an ordinary day with ordinary golfers, that would be correct. But on Monday, Nov. 12 at Beau Pré, golfers will be having such exchanges with the likes of Billy Joe Toliver, former Saints quarterback, Jim McMahon who quarterbacked the Chicago Bears, Joe West, veteran major league umpire, and Brian Kinchen, former LSU and NFL star. Other former sports stars will join these for the annual Benefit Golf Tournament at Beau Pre Country Club on Monday.
The celebrities will begin arriving on Sunday afternoon and will gather with golfers for a Pairings Party at Isle of Capri Hotel at 6 p.m. Then the public is invited to meet our visitors and participate in both silent and live auctions at 7 p.m., also at Isle of Capri Hotel.
Golfing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at Beau Pré where participants will be treated to a Trick Shot Demonstration by Nationally Noted Artist, Buddy Shelton.
A special highlight is the opportunity to win a free car for scoring a hole-in-one on any of the four par 3 holes. Sponsors for this challenge are Lakeside Ford, Great River Chevrolet/Cadillac/GMC, Natchez Ford/Lincoln/Mercury and Southland Mazda.
All proceeds from the tournament this year will go to help with the renovation of the playground at Natchez Children’s Home Services.
If you’d like to be a part of the festivities, meet the visitors and/or play in the tournament, contact Nancy Hungerford at Natchez Children’s Home Services 601-442-6858.
