NATCHEZ — Residents were left in the dark Wednesday when a storm blew through Adams County, causing outages for at least a few hundred customers.
Tim Runnels, Entergy customer service manager, said less than 500 customers were without power Wednesday night. He said for the most part, residences on Liberty Road, Live Oak Drive and Montebello Parkway were without power, but electricity was restored to everyone by 8:30 p.m.
Runnels said tree limbs caused the outage.
“I guess that wind that blew through caused outages for customers,” Runnels said.
A recording posted by Southwest Mississippi Electric Power Association said several communities in Adams County would be without power until at least 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
The automated recording said customers in Cloverdale, Kingston, Sibley and areas at U.S. 61 South were without power.
The recording said a tree falling on double circuit line causes the outages. It said crews would be deployed as soon as possible.
