ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Memorial services for Victoria Colleen Barrett Chamberlain, 47, of Albuquerque, N.M., who died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, were Monday, July 25, 2011, with the Rev. Jack Conner of Legacy Church officiating.
Victoria was born Feb. 15, 1964, in Alameda County, Calif., the daughter of Brent and Patricia Gunn Barrett. She grew up in Fremont, Calif., and attended Casa Robles High School in Orangeville, Calif.
Victoria met the love of her life, Victor Sidney Chamberlain Jr., while he was stationed at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, Calif. They were married for 24 years. She was a proud military wife with a number of hobbies and interests. She loved to bake, enjoyed making candles and attending trade shows throughout New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald D. and Dorothy E. Gunn and paternal grandmother, Lavon Bergantz Barrett, all of California.
Survivors include her parents; her husband, Victor Sidney “Chambo” Chamberlain Jr.; two daughters, Jessica Lynn Chamberlain of Albuquerque and Lara Katelyn Chamberlain Kracek and husband, Mike; one son, Victor Sidney “Trey” Chamberlain III; one grandson, Nathan Edward Kracek; two sisters, Julie Anne Krupsky and husband, Stan, of Warren, Ore., and Suzanne Petersen and husband, Leonard, of North Highlands, Calif.; one brother, B.K. Barrett Jr. and wife, Mary, of Folsom, Calif.; paternal grandfather, Irwin Barrett of Santa Rosa, Calif.; mother-in-law, Shirley Champlin “Mama C” Chamberlain of Natchez; two sisters-in-law, Kristi C. Wilson and husband, Kyle, of Madison and Sylvia Roy and husband, Danny, of Lafayette, La.; a special aunt-in-law, Mae Andrews of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Victoria will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and military family.
