WOODVILLE — Even though the Jefferson County Lady Tigers have struggled this season, they stayed right with Wilkinson County throughout the entire first half.

But the Lady Wildcats ended any hopes of Jefferson County taking a win on the road with an impressive display of offense and defense in the third quarter en route to a 48-25 win Tuesday night in Region 7-3A action.

The first quarter ended in a 7-7 tie and Wilkinson County (5-6, 3-0) took a 16-13 halftime lead. But the Lady Wildcats pulled away by holding Jefferson County (2-9, 0-2) without a field goal in the entire third quarter.
