VIDALIA — The man who was found dead alongside U.S. 84 Saturday has been identified.

Lawyer S. Hill, 55, was found dead near Vidalia Missionary Baptist Church at approximately 5 p.m. by two pedestrians, and at the time did not have any identification on him.

The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the call, as did Ridgecrest Police, Concordia Fire District No. 2, Metro Ambulance and the Ferriday Fire Department, CPSO Public Information Officer Kathleen Stevens said.

There were no indications of foul play, and an autopsy ordered by Coroner Dr. Sarah Lee indicates Hill may have died of cardiovascular disease, according to CPSO investigator Bobby Sheppard.
