Happy Birthday mom

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! But, there is another celebration that also took place at the Hall house; my mom celebrated her birthday Saturday.
I’d be in big trouble if I told everyone her age, but judging by the way she looks I’d say she’ll be turning 29!
Saturday was probably one of the few days of the year where my mom can relax and not have to run around town running errands, going to work or doing pageant work. There is no doubt in my mind that she most definitely deserves it. My mom is the hardest working person that I know because she always goes the extra mile in everything that that she does. She does things for everyone else first while putting herself last. She stays busy throughout the day and even though she comes home tired she’ll always manage to cook a delicious dinner for the family. Throughout my life I have not known any different.
We, as a family, have been through some tough times over the years. When I was 13 my dad passed away and my sisters and I turned to our leader, my mom. Without her we would have fallen apart, instead we came together like never before and have been going strong ever since.
I know that I can always count on her for anything. My mom has always done things for me that I can’t ever thank her enough for, including all the Friday nights after football games when she would drive to Oxford late at night so I could go to Ole Miss’ football games to taking care of me whenever I was sick and after I had knee surgery.
She’s done too many things to mention, but it’s the little things that I remember like tucking me in tight at night when I was little and packing extra food in my lunch bag. She’s always been there and I know she always will be. Even now that I have moved off to college, she still drives up on football weekends to see me and tailgate with everyone. I know all my friends appreciate her coming up too because she takes care of the food and everything so we all love her for that!
We’ll always talk on the phone and she never fails to wish me luck on a test or tell me how to cook something new. I love being in college, but man I sure miss her cooking! Whenever I come home this is what I looked forward to the most. I have been spoiled my whole life because I eat the best food around, hands down! Yes, I am a momma’s boy and I am proud of it! I know just how much she cares for us because she works very hard to give her kids the things that we need and want in life.
Being a single parent my mom has had more responsibilities than a lot of other parents. I think my sisters would agree with me that she has done a fantastic job. To me she is a wonderful person, friend and, most important, an amazing role model.
She has recently switched jobs back to working as a nurse and I’m so happy for her because she is doing what she wants. She deserves nothing less than the best in life.
From Holly, Emily and I, we wish you a happy birthday!
So mom, I hope you relaxed and enjoyed your birthday because it is your day and you deserve it.
We love you, and are so happy to be able to say that we have the best mom in the entire world.
