GULFPORT (AP) — Homeless shelters on the Mississippi Gulf Coast are preparing to help those without shelter during the cold freeze.
For the second night in a row, freezing temperatures are expected in Mississippi on Wednesday night.
Officials in Harrison County say the homeless will be welcomed at the Good Deeds Community Center.
Officials opened the shelter in light of the freezing weather.
Meanwhile in Biloxi, Rev. Tom Mims with the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission says it has 50 beds available.
And in Pascagoula, the Salvation Army’s shelter will be available.
