What a busy week it has been in the Miss-Lou!
If you couldn’t find something fun to do this week right in our backyard, you certainly weren’t trying.
The annual Relay for Life drew hundreds of people Friday night, but Relay wasn’t the only gig in town this week.
Let’s review a few other great events and headlines from the last week.
The Concordia Parish Spring Fly-in drew airplane enthusiasts from all around Saturday. Events like this one are great family fun for our community, and we are lucky to have two wonderful airports in the area.
The state Historic Preservation Conference was in town, and obviously there is no better place for such a group to come than to Natchez.
Alcorn State University celebrated graduation ceremonies Saturday, and the school’s new nurses were pinned Thursday. Congratulations to all the grads.
Natchez, Vidalia and Ferriday participated in the National Day of Prayer Thursday, keeping both local and national leaders in their prayers.
Area valedictorians are fretting over speeches, we know, but they all, including Vidalia’s Josh Welch and Huntington’s Abi Brown, should enjoy this time and be proud of their hard work.
The next two weeks will be busy with graduation, the end of school and the onslaught of summer, but we know more news is coming our way.
