PERS money was promised to us

Fellow Mississippi public employees and retirees:

Gov. Barbour chose a group of citizens to for a PERS study commission with Gulfport Mayor George Schoegel as chairman. On Sept. 14, at a study commission hearing, Schoegel plainly state that Mississippi is spending too much money on retirees’ 13th checks. The 13th check is our cost of living adjustment.
