FERRIDAY — Two Ferriday teens were arrested and charged Saturday in connection with three different burglaries during the past three months at Nub’s Auto Salvage in Ferriday, according to a press release from the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Ramon L. Martin, 17, 172 Lee Tyler Road, and Dionee J. Johnson, 18, 106 10th St., were each charged with two counts of simple burglary for reportedly breaking into the building at Nub’s Auto Salvage Friday and stealing security cameras, as well as the alleged theft of hubcaps from the salvage on Sept. 17. Johnson was also charged with one count of auto theft for allegedly stealing a 2000 Nissan Altima that had been sold to the salvage for parts, the release said.

Jacky Martin, the owner of Nub’s Auto Salvage, said he believes Johnson and Martin are responsible for the 12 break-ins to his business since May. Jacky Martin said he has suffered approximately $6,000 in damages and items stolen during the break-ins.

Jacky Martin said he has trail cameras and video cameras on his premises, which helped police apprehend the suspects.

Johnson’s bond is set at $60,000. Ramon Martin’s bond is set at $35,000.

The suspects could face up to 12 years in jail and a $2,000 fine for each count of simple burglary.
