FERRIDAY — A Ferriday man faces battery charges after allegedly stabbing another man several times.

DeShawn LaShay Milligan, 28, 327 Smart Lane, was arrested on charges of aggravated second-degree battery Thursday.

Milligan allegedly entered AutoZone, located at 319 S. E.E. Wallace Blvd., and had a verbal confrontation with the victim, Frederick Frasier, Ferriday Assistant Chief of Police Margaret Lawrence said.

The two men reportedly went outside the building, where the confrontation escalated to a physical altercation, Lawrence said.

During the course of the fight, Milligan allegedly stabbed Frasier several times, Lawrence said.

Frasier was transported to Riverland Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
