NATCHEZ — A community concert is planned for Saturday afternoon to benefit the Rev. Steve Pearson, who has recently battled cancer.

The concert will be at Pearson’s church, Community Chapel Church of God, 100 Oakland Drive, from 4 to 7 p.m. Admission is free.

Peformers will include The Harrigills, Chosen, Iva Ray Thorton and more.

During the concert a silent auction will also be held to raise money and raffle tickets will be sold for a collection of items including gift certificates, gift baskets, a guitar, a gun and more.

Local businesses have donated the items.
